Young Advisors
Sefton Young Advisors
Young Advisors offer many services:
Young Advisors can support your organisation or partnership to meaningfully involve children and young people in service design, delivery and decision-making. We are regularly asked to attend a variety of multi-agency meetings to offer a young person's perspective and ensure that children and young people are having a genuine say in how services are provided in their communities.
Services, policies, procedures, activities or documents can be transformed into something more accessible not only to young people but everybody.
We're fully trained to provide support and guidance for organisations wishing to utilise best methods of practice for engagement with young people, offering tailored advice for your project.
YAs can advise organisations on how best to consult with children and young people. Where we feel a consultation is necessary, we will design a consultation that will genuinely allow young people to have a say and get their opinions heard. From interactive workshops to online surveys and other innovative techniques, Young Advisors are able to consult in a variety of ways depending on the specific needs of the children and young people involved.
Young Advisors offer training on how to engage and communicate with young people. We will tailor the training to the specific needs of your project.
Y.A.s are also able to offer the ASDAN Accredited Award Scheme, for example the ASDAN activities award for peer tutoring.
Young Advisors can use their skills and knowledge to facilitate meetings, workshops and events that are aiming to involve service users in a meaningful role.
Youth lead research is important when the area being investigated is directly linked to young people. Young Advisors are able to lead research and ensure that the correct information is obtained with the best possible outcomes.
